Lasell Lacrosse Team Honors Boston Marathon Bombing Victims

The team wore special shirts at its game on April 16.

As the Boston community continues to reel from Monday's bombings at the Boston Marathon finish line, one Newton college sports team took time to honor the bombing victims at a game earlier this week.

The Lasell College men's lacrosse team wore special "Prays for Boston" shirts during its game Tuesday against Emmanuel College, according to a post on the Lasell College website.

"We thought it was a great way to show our support for the victims and their families," Coach Michael Maggio said on the Lasell website. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the city of Boston."
