More Than 400 Without Power In Newton After Storm

NEWTON, MA — If you woke up and noticed the lights wouldn't turn on, you're not alone. Some 428 addresses in town are without power this morning, according to Massachusetts Emergency Management. And there are 2,547 without power across the state.

An Eversource official said although there was not much wind last night, water seeping into underground can affect lines buried. A spokesperson has estimated power be restored by 11:30 a.m.
Newton, Brookline and Boston make up the bulk of the communities without power this morning.
