Newton Business Recalls Skin Care Product: Report

First Aid Beauty is a Newton-based business that sold the recalled product on its website.

NEWTON, MA — First Aid Beauty, headquartered on 70 Bridge St., has recalled more than 2,500 units of one of its skin care products, according to a report from Penn Live Patriot News.

The coconut vanilla version of its Ultra Repair Skin Cream was recalled due to a “Current Good Manufacturing Practice” deviation, a regulation enforced by the Food and Drug Administration.

“Adherence to the CGMP regulations assures the identity, strength, quality, and purity of drug products by requiring that manufacturers of medications adequately control manufacturing operations,” The FDA’s website reads.

While there may not be anything wrong with the product, it is being encouraged that the product should be discarded and not used.
