Newton CVS Thief May Have Robbed Framingham Walgreens Next

Newton Police and Framingham Police are looking for a woman in her 30s possibly connected to armed robberies in each city.

A female pill thief who may have shown a gun in a Newton Highlands CVS could be the same woman suspected of armed robbery at a Framingham Walgreens just an hour later.

According to Newton Police reports, a woman in her 30s asked to speak to a pharmacist at the CVS located at 978 Boylston St on May 25. When the pharmacist responded, reports say, the woman asked for pills before lifting up her shirt and exposing "what looked like a handgun."

The suspect took some pills and walked toward the exit, according to police reports. She is described as "wearing a dark Yankees baseball cap, black jacket with gray shirt underneath, blue jeans and black boots.

Just an hour later, Framingham Police responded to a call of an armed robbery at a Walgreens on Route 9. According to Framingham Patch, a "white female, in her 30s, with freckles, wearing a black puffy jacket and a dark Yankees hat" asked a pharmacist for Percocets and claimed she had a gun.

According to Framingham Police reports, no gun was shown in that robbery.

Massachusetts State Police alerted Framingham Police that the description of the suspect in their robbery matched the description from Newton an hour before, Framingham Patch reports.
