NEWTON, MA — The state of the city is strong, but, according to Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller, she sees challenges on the horizon. The mayor announced she intends to share ways to address those challenges in her fourth State of the City address at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

"Even after a year of hurt, of loss and of upheaval, I can report that the state of the City is strong, resilient and good," Fuller said in a statement. "Together we’ve leaned in, we’ve stayed home, worn our masks, and month after month after month made sacrifices to get to this place when we can start to feel optimism."

Wednesday night Fuller will give the State of the City Address and outline what those challenges are and what she sees as a vision to tackle them.
