Mt. Ida to Welcome Newton Mayor for Commencement Ceremony

Newton Mayor Setti Warren will be at Mt. Ida College Friday to deliver the commencement address.

Mt. Ida College will honor Newton Mayor Setti Warren with an honorary degree during the school's commencement ceremony on Friday, May 17.

The mayor will also deliver the college's commencement address.

According to an announcement from Mt. Ida, Warren will receive an honorary Doctor of Social Science degree during the Class of 2013 commencement ceremony. The school will also bestow honorary degrees on Prof. Anita Hill, senior adviser to the provost at Brandeis University, and Paul S. Grogan, president and chief executive officer of The Boston Foundation.

The commencement ceremony is scheduled to take place Friday at 11 a.m. under tents on the lawn behind the campus' Shaw Hall.
