Newton North Student Wins Car in 'Keys to Success' Program

A lucky Newton North sophomore walked away with the keys to a Honda Accord as part of the Honda Village "Keys to Success" program.

Kerry Brock was absolutely convinced she wasn't the one student in a group of 50 with the key that would start the silver Honda Accord in the Newton North High School automotive shop.

She was wrong.

Brock, a sophomore at Newton North, and 49 of her NNHS classmates gathered in the garage at the school Friday for the culmination of the sixth annual Honda Village "Keys to Success" program. Throughout the year, students receive prizes for excelling in various categories including attendance, community service, improvement in grades and other categories. Then, at the end of the school year, 50 students who have won monthly prizes are randomly selected for a chance to turn a key in a certified, pre-owned car.
