Newton Police Log: Bicycle Stolen, Car Tires Slashed and More

Nov. 4

A bicycle left in the parking lot of Tedeschis on Walnut Street for about 15 minutes and when the owner returned it was gone. The bike is a blue men’s Diamondback bike.

A Langley Road resident believes a package was stolen from his front porch.

Two tires on a 2006 GMC Sierra on Chaske Avenue were slashed over the weekend.

Copper piping was taken from two locations at the Longwood Cricket Club. Neither location was with plain view of the public.

Over the weekend someone tried to break into a truck parked at the loading docks at the NEFCO building on Newtonville Avenue. Nothing was taken from the truck.

A 61-year-old Somerville man was summonsed to court for violating a restraining order.
