Newton Police Log: Car Window Broken and Purse Stolen, Man Busted for OUI

Police summonsed a 46-year-old Newton woman to court on a charge of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon  - a vehicle door.

Three air conditioners and a Playstation 2 were taken from a basement on Russell Road.

A resident got a call from a number - ALERT 253-236-2375 – which has been known to be used in a scam.

 

Nov. 19

A woman parked her 2005 Dodge in front of the Boston Sports Club and went inside. When she came out an hour later she found her driver side window was smashed and her tan purse and black Under Armor jacket were missing.

Police arrested David L. Fisher, 49, of 276 Church St. Apt. 309 in Newton, on a charge of domestic assault and battery

An officer patrolling on Chestnut Street pulled over a driver who was driving with a flat tire, and operating erratically. Police arrested Edwin F. Lang, 57, of 7 Mountain Road in Lexington, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on defective equipment (a flat tire).

Police arrested Noah Gabriel Levitt, 21, of 32 Lincoln Road Apt. B in Newton, was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
