Newton Police Log: Tagging, Assault and Vandalism with Tomato Juice

Probation violation
A Newton woman was arrested on March 24 for an alleged probation violation, reports said.
Beth M. Dunton, 44, of 29 Middle St., was arrested for a probation violation warrant out of Newton District Court, police said.

Tagging
Newton Police responded to the Elks Lodge in Newton Corner (Centre Street) on March 24 after someone reported vandalism at the lodge and the former convenience store (Newton Corner Mart).

According to reports, police found illegible symbols spray painted in the Elks Lodge upper door and dumpster fence as well as on the side of the former convenience store.

Vandalism...with tomato juice?
Newton Police responded to Concord Road on March 24 after a woman reported a vandalism incident involving her car.
According to police reports, the woman parked her car on Rand Terrace around 8:30 a.m. to drop her kids off at the daycare and use the bus stop. When she returned around 5:15 p.m., she found tomato juice poured all over her car's hood and windshield.
Domestic incident leads to arrest
A Newton man was arrested on March 25 after an alleged domestic incident in Arlington.
Jared Alexander Lynch, 23, of 33 Nonantum Place, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, police said.
According to reports, police received an alert from Arlington Police about a domestic incident involving Lynch and told Newton Police there was probably cause to arrest Lynch.
