NEWTON, MA – On April 17, these Newton residents will run the 127th Boston Marathon as members of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge:

The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge is entering its 34th year, and raises money – more than $115 million to date – for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research. It is the largest charity group in the Boston Marathon.

The Newton residents are among more than 500 Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge teammates from across the country and around the world who will run Massachusetts’ historic marathon route, starting in Hopkinton and ending in Boston’s Copley Square to collectively raise $6.5 million for cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
