Newton’s 2024 Budget To Be Presented In May: What To Know
Hear about what Mayor Ruthanne Fuller will include in Newton's fiscal year 2024 budget in an upcoming meeting.

NEWTON, MA – Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller is set to present her proposed budget for the fiscal year 2024 on Monday, May 1.
Fuller will talk about investing in Newton public schools, police and fire, streets, sidewalks and mobility, health and human services, park, recreation and culture, and more.
Fuller’s address will begin at 7:45 p.m. in council chambers on the second floor of Newton city hall located at 1000 Commonwealth Ave.

Newton community members can come in person to the presentation or watch the broadcast on NewTV (government channels Comcast 9, RCN 13, 614 (HD), Verizon 33) or online at newtv.org.
“My proposed FY2024 Budget, which by State law must be balanced, prioritizes the Newton Public Schools, maintains City operations, continues building projects, ensures our long-term financial sustainability, addresses our long-term liabilities, and preserves our Aaa bond rating,” Fuller wrote in her email newsletter.
