The Women’s Choice Awards is the only national list of hospitals focused exclusively on excellence in caring for female patients. This recognition is based on robust criteria centered on clinical performance and patient satisfaction and incorporates data from more than 4,700 facilities across the U.S. Awardees are noted for providing the highest level of care and commitment to their female patients and ensuring their overall wellbeing.
“At Newton-Wellesley, we pride ourselves on providing the safest and most equitable care possible not only for women, but for all our patients,” said Dr. Errol R. Norwitz, President and CEO of Newton-Wellesley. “This prestigious recognition is a testament to the personalized, compassionate care our patients – of all gender identities and backgrounds – know and expect to receive at our hospital.”
The Awards’ methodology utilizes the most recent publicly available information from The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as accreditation information. In some cases, the awards utilize surveys of tens of thousands of women, as well as research conducted in partnership with the Wharton School of Business.
In addition to providing exceptional care to female patients, Newton-Wellesley is also committed to supporting its female employees and helping them advance their careers through various initiatives, including its Women in Medicine Committee. The hospital champions a culture of respect, diversity, inclusion, and wellness, and this includes ensuring female employees are empowered to meaningfully contribute to the organization and help advance patient care and community health.
