Newton's 2019 St. Patrick's Day Political Roast [Photos]

Check out how it went.

NEWTON, MA — The third annual St. Patrick's breakfast in Newton included Irish Step dancers, songs about the plight of solar panels in town and one Congressman Joe Kennedy took the mic.

"It's really what this job is all about... It was really kind of the community to laugh at some of my bad jokes," said Kennedy after the event Friday.

President of the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce Greg Reibman and City Councilor Josh Krintzman cracked jokes, taking jabs as Jerry Reilly of Newton's Nomadic Theatre picked on in friendly fashion.

"Year three and I'm just as thrilled. Everybody was just looking forward to it this year, you could tell they were better prepared, with better jokes," said Dunn-Gaherin's owner Seana Gaherin. "It's such a cast... We epitomize good community. All politics is local, Tip O'Neill would be proud."
