Newton's Auchincloss Denounces Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The U.S. Rep. expressed his adamant opposition to the Health Secretary nominee.
NEWTON, MA — U.S. Rep. and Newton native Jake Auchincloss (D, MA) officially called on his Democrat peers to oppose the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the country’s Secretary of Health and Human Services for Donald Trump's upcoming presidential term.
Auchincloss, who comes from a family with a medical sciences background, described Kennedy Jr. as a threat to children’s health and science.
“This is a man who thinks that no vaccine is safe and effective, despite the fact that vaccines have saved 146 million lives in the last 50 years,” Auchincloss said in a news release. “This is a man who does not think that AIDS is caused by a virus. No Democrat should be voting 'yes' for RFK.”
Auchincloss was first elected to his position in 2020.
