Reason for running: At the age of three, my son, Quentin, was diagnosed with Juvenile Retinoschisis, a condition that can cause a progressive loss of central and peripheral vision due to degeneration of the retina. Quentin is currently treated at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston as a patient of retina specialist Dr. Shizuo Mukai, inspiring my participation in my first Boston Marathon. I'm joining Team Eye and Ear to raise funds for Dr. Mukai's research to potentially find a cure for Juvenile Retinoschisis.
Training tip: Start slowly.
Qualified runner or charity bib? Charity; Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, under the John Hancock Non-Profit Program. More information on Miquel's run is available on his fundraising website.
Bib number: 24745
