NEWTON, MA – Newton Community Pride has awarded micro grants to several recipients for its spring 2023 grant cycle.
Newton Community Pride is a 501(c)(3) organization building community for all to enjoy through free arts and culture programming, public art, beautification projects and volunteerism.
“We are again pleased to offer financial support for local arts and culture events and projects consistent with our mission.” Blair Lesser Sullivan, Executive Director of Newton Community Pride, said in a news release. “Providing seed money to these wonderful groups is important to our community as it brings joy and culturally uplifts us.” Lesser Sullivan added.

NCP’s spring community micro grant recipients include a Music Mondays summer musical performance at the Scandinavian Center, Newton Piano Summit at Second Church, cultural events India Day and Indigenous Peoples Day, a Klezmer dance party at the Hyde Community Center Bandstand and Newton Theatre Company’s Monologue Project: Newton LGBTQ+ Voices.
All events are free and open to the public.
