Woman Faces Charges In Connection To Newton Ice Rink Stabbing: Report

Imani Abraham, 27, of Dorchester, faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault and battery with a weapon.

NEWTON, MA – Massachusetts State Police have arrested a woman in connection to a road rage stabbing that began on I-93 and ended at the Daly Ice Rink in Newton, WCVB reports.

Imani Abraham, 27, of Dorchester, faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The incident occurred on May 4 with a near collision on Interstate 93, state police said. Then, Abraham followed the victim to the Daly Ice Rink at 4 Nonantum Road in Newton.

"Upon reaching the rink, evidence indicates, Abraham exited her vehicle and stabbed the victim. She then re-entered her car and drove away," a state police spokesperson wrote to WCVB.

The victim suffered a stab wound that was non-life-threatening.

Troopers said Abraham was arrested without incident Wednesday afternoon in Braintree, where she works.
