Average North Andover Tax Bill To Increase $337 In FY2021
The average residential property increased in value by about 1.2 percent, officials said.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The average single family home's tax bill will increase by around $337 in Fiscal Year 2021, after the selectmen set the tax shift Monday.
Residential property values increased a modest amount, with the median single family home being valued at $560,714, up just over 1 percent. The median tax bill will be around $7945.32.
The selectmen voted for a 1.3 commercial tax shift, meaning commercial property owners will pay 130 percent of what they would if there was a uniform rate. Residential homes will be taxed at a rate of 14.17 mills, up from 13.74 in Fiscal Year 2019.

Town officials recommended the 1.3 commercial shift, which results in a roughly equal tax increase for both commercial and residential properties.
Fiscal Year 2021 property assessments are based on Jan. 1 values and precede the coronavirus pandemic.
