Child Dials 911, Reports Someone Was 'Mean'

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Monday, Feb. 4

At 9:06 a.m., a caller on Johnson Street reported that his home was broken into and his copper pipes were stolen.

At 10:33 p.m., a caller reported that her daughter's phone was stolen and they traced it to Royal Crest. The phone was returned.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

At 10:40 a.m., a caller on Abbott Street reported thata laptop was stolen from his home.

At 6:52 p.m., a child called 911 and reported someone "being mean" and hung up. Officer Christopher Smedile reportedly then called and spoke to the child about proper use of 911.
