Man Charged With Lewd Library Behavior

The following information was supplied by the North Andover Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A man was arrested for allegedly enjoying his time at the Stevens Memorial Library in a rather inappropriate way.

Police received a call Sunday afternoon just after 4 p.m. reporting a man sitting at a computer and masturbating. Police went to the library and arrested the man.

Police Lt. Charles Gray said the man had been viewing an "inappropriate website" as well.

Kenneth Girard, 65, of 28 Tolland Road, North Andover, was charged with lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct. He was released on his own recognizance.

Saturday, Dec. 29

At 6:53 a.m., a caller reported a man walking down the street at Dale and Bradford streets carrying a rifle, appearing to be a hunter. Police did not find the man.

At 9:54 a.m., a caller on Adams Avenue reported that his vehicle had been broken into overnight.

At 8:23 p.m., Kohl's reported that two males walked into the store and stole several Columbia jackets.
