Nomination Papers Available For North Andover 2021 Town Election

There are elections for two Board of Selectmen seats and two School Committee seats, among others.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Nomination papers for the 2021 North Andover town election are now available from the Town Clerk's Office, the office said Tuesday.

There will be elections for:

  • Two three-year terms on the Board of Selectmen
  • One five-year term on the Housing Authority
  • One three-year term as Town Moderator
  • Two three-year terms on the School Committee

Housing Authority Chair Mary Beth Soucy-Larkin's seat is up for re-election, as are those of Selectmen Richard Vaillancourt and Phil DeCologero and School Committee members David Torrisi and Andrew McDevitt. The town moderator is Mark DiSalvo.

DeCologero has already said he will not run for re-election, meaning at least one seat will be open.

Nomination papers will be available through Feb. 9 and are due by 5 p.m., Feb. 16. To get on the ballot, candidates must be certified with at least 50 signatures of North Andover registered voters. The Town Clerk's Office recommends getting at least 60 signatures, in case some are not certifiable.

Town Hall remains closed, so anyone seeking nomination papers should email Town Clerk Trudy Reid at treid@northandoverma.gov requesting the papers. Don't forget to mention what position you're interested in.

The election is scheduled for March 30. The registration deadline is March 10. You can register online here.
