North Andover Beats Woburn in Season Opener

Two of the top teams in the state, the Woburn Tanners and North Andover Scarlet Knights, met in a season-opening clash on Friday evening.

When the dust settled, it was the Scarlet Knights who emerged as victors. The Tanners fell, 27-15, in what was a closely contested ballgame from start to finish.

It’ll be back to the drawing board for Woburn, a squad looking to defend its 2014 division title.

The North Andover Scarlet Knights football team has a home non-conference game vs. Acton-Boxborough at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18.
