NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover reported 189 active coronavirus cases Monday, the town's highest confirmed caseload on record.

The town had reported a decline in late November, dropping below 100 on Nov. 30, but that trend reversed itself and cases nearly doubled over the first week of December. Prior to the current high, the town's peak case count was 126 cases in June.

Just three of the town's current cases are related to Merrimack College.
