Police Find Vehicle In Fatal Methuen Hit-And-Run, Look For Driver

A 57-year-old Methuen man was struck Monday night on Jackson Street. Police said they found the vehicle involved.

METHUEN, MA — Police have found the car they said was involved in Monday night's fatal hit-and-run, but are still looking to identify who was driving it.

Timothy Lafferty, 57, of Methuen, died after being struck Monday night by a vehicle on Jackson Street. Police said the vehicle drove away after the crash, but left behind several pieces of evidence discovered by a State Police crash response team.

Methuen police were notified of a possible suspect vehicle at a nearby residence, and seized a sedan with front end damage.
