On a cold December morning in 2011, real estate developerΒ Jack MageeΒ and his wifeΒ Geraldine of AndoverΒ were found dead in their Orchard Crossing home. They'd been shot execution-style.

Later, the Magees'Β Lexus SUV was found in Boston's North End, engulfed in flames.

Authorities have been relatively quiet in the many months since that tragic crime, careful not to discuss any of the evidence gathered.

Now, two years later, authorities are reminding the public that the case is still active and that investigators still need the public's help.

On Tuesday, District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett's office released a statement stressing those points.

"The investigation remains active and a high priority," Blodgett said. "We will continue to pursue every lead until we find the person or persons responsible for this tragic murder and seek justice for the Magee family in court."

TheΒ Magees, who developed the Orchard Crossing neighborhood,Β operated Advance Realty Co. out of the home andΒ owned Magee Construction Company in Arlington.

As Dec. 14, the anniversary of the crime, draws near,Β Andover Police and the Massachusetts State Police are calling for public help in solving the mystery of what happened at 7 Orchard Crossing.

"The Andover Police Department along with the Essex District Attorney’s Office is determined to find those responsible for this horrific act,"Β Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe said.Β "This remains a top priority with all agencies involved and we continue to investigate all leads and angles of this senseless murder. We continue to request that anyone with any information or possible information in this incident to come forward and contact one of the agencies involved."
