Bronze USMC Flag Holder Stolen From Gravesite

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log:
Monday, Oct. 17
- At 3:12 p.m. a resident of Margin Street reported a rock was thrown through the back sliding door of the building.
- At 4:57 p.m. a woman vistingreported her late father's USMC bronze flag holder was stolen from his grave.
- At 6:40 p.m. police received a report that kids were "lighting picnic tables on fire" at Pierpoint Park. Police checked and no one was setting fires.
- At 27-year-old Peabody man was issued a summons for violating an abuse prevention order. The summons was issued at 8:38 p.m. on Margin Street.

- At 12:38 a.m. a 40-year-old Cranston, R.I. woman was issued a summons for larceny after not paying for gas at on Lowell Street.
- At 6:13 a.m. a Harris Street resident reported hearing noises in her basement. Nothing was there when police checked.
- At 9:20 a.m. Alan Kurpes, 53, 30 Wedgemere Road, Beverly, was arrested for a past domestic disturbance in Beverly.
- At 12:08 p.m. a resident of Livingston Street reported a man from a plaster company came to her door for work. The woman told the man she had no work scheduled to be done but he tried to open the door anyway. Police checked with the company and the company told them he had the wrong address.
- At 12:52 p.m. Lynnfield police requested Peabody Police to help with a pursuit.
