Carol J. Gaieski

September 26, 1946 - April 5, 2024

Peabody – Carol Jean Gaieski 77, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Helen M. (Duc) Gaieski. She was a graduate of Peabody High School and continued her education at the Mansfield Beauty School.

Carol had been employed as a hairdresser for over fifty years. She had owned and operated Andrew’s Beauty Salon in Peabody until December 2016 then went on to work with Impressions Beauty Salon in Peabody. Carol also supported her family’s business, The Warren Lunch, in Peabody until the time of their closing in 2004.

Carol was devoted to her family and took pride in preparing Polish dishes for them. She also had a great love and dedication to animals. She had owned several dogs and cats over the years. She was also an avid horse racing fan and you could find Carol with her mother Helen at Suffolk Downs or Rockingham Park. She also enjoyed her trips to Saratoga, NY and Louisville for the Kentucky Derby.

Surviving her are two sisters, Marcia H. Kanarakis and her husband, George of Bathurst, Australia and Patricia A. Vega of Melrose, a brother, John M. Gaieski and his wife, Diana of Palm Coast, FL, nieces and nephews Fotini Kanarakis, Evan Kanarakis, Stephanie Lane, Jennifer Lane, Andrew Michael Lane and Julie Gaieski, John Eric Gaieski (deceased), great nieces and nephews, Adriana and Benjamin Lassus and Andrew and Adelina Lane. She was also the sister of the late Mary S. Lane and Michael J. Gaieski.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
