The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log:
Monday, Oct. 24
- A police cruiser backed up into a light pole at the at 2 p.m.
- A 45-year-old Amesbury man was issued a summons for larceny after Sports Medicine North reported a man stole $300 from reception before going in for his X-Ray.
- At 4:53 p.m. police and fire responded to Cottage Street for a furnace fire. The fire department ventilated the basement.
- At 6:21 p.m. a juvenile was transported to the hospital after sustaining a leg injury while playing soccer at the

- At 12:21 a.m. assisted Danvers Police in a search for a missing woman.
- A 26-year-old Peabody man was issued a summons at 1:05 a.m. on Foster Street on charges of driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
- At 11:10 a.m. police responded to a Newbury Street apartment where a 6-year-old was stung by a bee in the eye. The boy did not need to be transported to the hospital.
- At 11:25 a.m. a Gardner Street resident told police she is getting calls about winning the lottery in Canada. Police told her it was a scam.
- Michael C. Bradley, 36, 2 Park St., was arrested on a warrant at 1:26 p.m.
