PEABODY, MA — There are plenty of things going on around Peabody to celebrate the 2023 winter holidays.
Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights, starts at sundown on Dec. 7, and ends at nightfall on Dec. 15. Christmas, of course, is on Dec. 25, but you don’t have to wait to start taking in all the sights and sounds of the season.

The City Hall tree lighting and holiday stroll were held this past weekend but you can still check out the tree at City Hall throughout the month.
Higgins Middle School will host a holiday fair on Saturday.

The Peabody Annual Holiday Pops Concert is Saturday and Sunday at The Wiggin Auditorium at City Hall. A buffet dinner catered by Vinwood Caterers begins at 6 p.m. with the pops concert to follow.
This year's featured guest is Jacyn Tremblay, a versatile singer, songwriter, and recording artist.
She currently performs throughout New England with the nine-piece band Beantown. Other musical credits include single releases on Universal/Motown Records in the pop/r&b vocal group Jada, pop/rock singles in the duo Venus Mars Project, performing as a regularly featured soloist with the Hillyer Festival Orchestra, The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra and soon The Merrimack Symphony.
Create and Escape DIY on Main Street in Peabody has several child-friendly events planned with a Crafts & Breakfast with the Grinch set for Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to noon and a Crafts with Santa event set for Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Those wishing to pay Santa a special visit can do so daily at the Northshore Mall in Peabody.
