Coyotes Spotted in City

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log:

Monday, Oct. 31

  • Blowback from an oil burner was reported on Amanda Way at 2:26 p.m.
  • At 3:07 p.m. police responded to a neighborhood dispute about cutting tree branches on Trask Road.
  • At 6:31 p.m. a "large amount of screws" were reported in the street on Central Street. DPW removed the hazards.
  • At 7:43 p.m. a resident of Bartholomew Street told police he was concerned about a 60-year-old man who had trick-or-treated at his home more than once that night, dressed in army fatigues. Police said it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity and the man was a friend of the resident.
  • At 8:28 p.m. a group of youths egged a house on Lindauer Street.
  • A 26-year-old Danvers woman was issued a summons at 10:02 p.m. for driving with a revoked license.
  • At 10:30 p.m. a Main Street resident reported hearing fireworks. The fireworks were from Salem.

  • At 12:04 p.m. a resident of Lowe Street reported someone had smashed his truck's windshield. 
  • At 2:12 a.m. Marvin Guzman, 20, 36 Oak St., was charged with driving without a license. 
  • At 4:02 a.m. an officer spotted debris in the road on Lowell Street.
  • At 6:12 a.m. police removed a dead coyote off of Route 128.
  • At 7:27 a.m. a cable wire came down on a bus on Lone Pine Lane.
  • At 9:17 a.m. an injured coyote was reported on Andover Street. The coyote was brought to a veterinarian for treatment.
  • At 12:15 p.m. police responded to for a person spitting on items. Police did not locate the person.
