Danvers/Peabody Route 128 Bridge Work To Last 'Several Weeks'

There will be temporary lane closures overnight starting Sunday near the Waters River bridge.

PEABODY, MA — Overnight Route 128 road work in the Danvers/Peabody stretch will resume Sunday night and last for "several weeks."

The state Department of Transportation said temporary lane closures may be in effect when necessary as part of the Waters River bridge project. Work hours are Sunday through Thursday nights between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Route 114 and Endicott Street.

The DOT said these temporary impacts are necessary to allow the contractor to perform milling and paving operations on both the northbound and southbound sides.
