Daytime Route 128 Lane Closures Coming To Danvers/Peabody Stretch
The state Department of Transportation said the lane closures will begin on Tuesday and continue for about two weeks.
PEABODY, MA — Drivers who travel Route 128 can expect daytime lane closures and possible delays over the next two weeks while a snow fence is installed on the southbound side.
The state Department of Transportation said that daytime construction will begin on Tuesday and continue daily during weekdays for two weeks. There will be temporary lane closures from Route 114 to the Endicott Street exit at the Danvers/Peabody line.
Work is scheduled for between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day.

Safety signs, traffic control devices and police details will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. Drivers who are traveling through the impacted areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
The work is part of the $24.7 million Waters River bridge reconstruction project.
