Jeanette D. McNeil

August 31, 1930 - September 27, 2021

Peabody – Jeanette D. (Borden-Burnham) McNeil 91, beloved wife of the late William T. Burnham and the late George J. McNeil, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington.

Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late George and Victoria (Dudley) Borden. She received her education in the Chelsea school system and graduated from Chelsea High School.

Mrs. McNeil had been employed for many years by Siemens USA of Danvers until the time of her retirement. Prior to that she had worked for the former Thomas Strand Company in Chelsea. Following her retirement, Jeanette worked as a bus monitor of the City of Peabody school department until her retirement at the age of 80.

A resident of Peabody for over twenty-five years, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth V. Sherrer and her husband, Willie of Danvers, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her nine siblings.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
