Loaded Handgun Found in Ceiling

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log:
Wednesday, Oct. 19
- At 7 p.m. a resident of Walnut Street reported a "suspicious person" wearing a yellow jacket and carrying a flashlight. The person turned out to be a woman searching for her cat.
- At 11:34 p.m. a tree branch came down on Tomah Drive.

- At 2:45 a.m. police arrested Alex H. McMaster, 37, 8 Walnut St., on a warrant from another department.
- At 7 a.m. police responed to Hess on Lowell Street for a car vs. bicycle accident. The person who was struck on the bicycle was not injured and told the driver, he had to get to class.
- At 9 a.m. a resident of Kenwood Road reported someone was speeding up and down the street delivering newspapers.
- At 11 a.m. a resident of Blackstone Street told police, a plumber was working in the home when he found a loaded handgun in the ceiling. Police removed the firearm from the home.
