Peabody Pop Warner Cheerleaders Go to Nationals

Peabody Pee Wee Cheerleaders are going to Disney World.

Peabody's Pop Warner Pee Wee Cheerleading "C" Squad has qualified to compete in the Nationals Competition as a large novice group on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla.

The C Squad has 25 girls in 5th and 6th grade, representing every elementary school and the middle school in the city.

The team has been working hard since August 1, to achieve their goal of making it to the Nationals, PPW secretary Dianne Marchese said.

Many of the girls have been cheering together since 2009 when they went to the Nationals together for the first time. There, they placed 6th out of 11 nationally ranked cheering squads in their division. 

The team is coached by Christine Groom and have three trainers: Kayla Murphy, Nicole Casper and Daria Falco.
