Peabody Route 128 Crash Clears, Residual Backups Tuesday Morning

PEABODY, MA — A Tuesday morning crash blocked two travel lanes and caused long delays on Route 128 North in the Peabody/Lynnfield stretch.

WBZ-AM radio reported that the right lanes were blocked near the I-95 spit shortly after 8 a.m.

Traffic was backed up all the way to the Wakefield area as of 8:45.

The crash was reported clear as of about 9:20 a.m. but residual backups remained to Main Street in Lynnfield.
