Police Receive Unfounded Call About Handgun

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police:
Sunday, Oct. 16
- At 3:58 p.m. a 22-year-old Peabody man was issued a summons after a dispute with his neighbor on Crane Avenue.
- At 4:02 p.m. reported someone drove off after only paying for half of their gas bill. According to police, the woman had realized and was en-route to pay the rest of the bill when police made contact with her.
- At 8:04 p.m. a resident of Tracey Street reported their car had been broken into.
- At 8:36 p.m. a motorist reported someone hit his car with a shopping cart at and then took off.

- Kyle Gamst, 24, 136 Green St., Melrose, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. and charged with driving after license suspension, failure to stop or yield and failure to wear a seatbelt. The arrest was made on Lowell Street.
- At 7:55 a.m. Police responded to Peabody Supply for a report of a person who fell. The person was transported to Beverly Hospital.
- At 8:22 a.m. police took part in a Essex County anti-graffiti unit.
- At 9:21 a.m. a needle was found near a playground on Maple Street.
- At 10:49 a.m. a New Hampshire man was issued a summons on malicious destruction of property charges on Foster Street.
- At 11:20 a.m. police responded to for bathroom vandalism.
- At 11:28 a.m. police received multiple calls about a disturbance on Park Street involving a handgun. The incident was unfounded. The address called in, was not an actual address.
- At 1:56 p.m. police and fire responded to Main Street for a car leaking gas.
