Runaway Cat Reunited With Owner

The following are excerpts from the press log from Aug. 22 to 23.

Monday, Aug. 22

  • At 8:57 p.m. police received a call about a man sitting in his car in the parking lot for an hour. Police spoke to the man who was waiting for his girlfriend to get out of work at the
  • At 11:33 p.m. police were told a scooter was driving down Baldwin Street without headlights. Police could not locate the scooter.

Tuesday, Aug. 23

  • At 1:15 a.m. police found a group of juveniles in Symphony Park. The juveniles refused to give their names to police. Officers brought them back to the station and released them to their parents.
  • At 1:19 a.m. a resident of Washington Street told police there were people outside claiming he shot them with a paint ball gun. When police arrived there was no evidence a paint ball gun had been used.
  • At 10:30 a.m. an injured cat was found on the porch of a Beacon Boulevard home. The cat was micro-chipped and police were able to return the cat to its owner.
  • At 1:06 p.m. police assisted the DPW with fixing potholes in Peabody Square.
