The flu is taking a toll across Massachusetts, here's a list of places you can get a flu shot.

1. The Plymouth Public Library hosts a Harry Potter Book Cub for children ages 9-12 from 4-5 p.m. in the Children's Room at the Main Branch. Talk about the first book in the series, Sorcerer's Stone, have a themed craft and snack and yes, parents are welcome to attend. You've got to register, so contact Youth Services at 508-830-4250 or pplyouth@yahoo.com.

3.The American Liver Foundation still has spots available on its 2013 Run for Research Boston Marathon team. This year will mark the 25th year participating as a charity partner of the Boston Marathon. The Run for Research Team is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the American Liver Foundation. It’s the perfect first marathon for anyone on the fence, or any one that’s struggling with keeping their fitness New Year resolutions.

4. The Arc of Greater Plymouth’s Employment Committee has again joined forces with The Cleanist to collect, clean and deliver warm coats to those in need. The coats are distributed through the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless. This year, the goal is to add a scarf and mittens or a hat with each donated coat. If you have a nice gently used coat to donate, drop it off at The Arc office at 10 Cordage Park Circle, Suite #208. Donations of new mittens, hats and scarves will also be accepted.
