3. Sending care packages to troops overseas is a time-honored tradition. This Memorial Day, Emeritus is continuing the tradition by announcing “Heroes Emeritus” – an initiative to deliver care packages to local senior veterans and veterans' families and to honor them for their service. The care packages will consist of nightlights, first aid kits, medication management containers, water bottles, nutritious snacks and other items to help ensure our local heroes are safe in their homes. Heroes Emeritus is an extension of the “Safely Somewhere” program, which helps ensure all seniors are safe wherever they live. The care package will also contain an Emeritus Medal of Valor, thanking veterans for their service. If you know of a local senior veteran or a family of a fallen veteran who could use some extra care, call Emeritus at Plymouth Beach at 508-746-9733 or visit www.emeritus.com.
