Mr. Da Silva is respectfully asking for your support and your vote so that together we can:
1. Increase transparency and engagement
The Commissioners should establish and publicize a yearly calendar of all meetings making citizens aware of the date, time, and location. All sessions should be video recorded and live streamed via the internet. These meeting recordings should be made available online and for cable broadcasting throughout all 27 communities in Plymouth County.
2. Create a Plymouth County Climate Action Task Force to reduce our local carbon footprint.
Preserving our beautiful coastline and other outdoor spaces is paramount to ensuring a sustainable and livable community. Additionally, this preservation is good for the local economy as our coastline is a massive draw during the summer months. The current commissioners has sought to sell out the people and natural beauty of Plymouth County by allowing a developer to build a horse racing track in Plymouth on several acres of untouched woods.
3. Create an internship program by opening the doors of Plymouth county government to our college students.
County government is often overlooked in Massachusetts; let's change that by opening our doors to the bright and ambitious students that are growing up in Plymouth County!
