Power Cut To Half Of Plymouth From Falling Tree

Plymouth power outages: nearly 15,000 lost power after a tree fell on wires on Bartlett Road, according to Eversource.

PLYMOUTH, MA — A falling tree knocked out power to nearly half of Plymouth Wednesday night. The incident happened on Bartlett Road at about 8 p.m., according to Eversource spokesman Michael Durand. About 15,000 lost power immediately. Power was restored to 10,000 of those customers within 5 minutes, Durand said. Power was restored to another 2,000 in 40 minutes and the remaining outages were fixed by 2 a.m.

The incident happened as thunderstorms passed through the region.
