Paving Work Scheduled For Sandwich Street And Beaver Dam Road In Plymouth
The DPW will deploy message boards to alert motorists of the forthcoming work.

The Town of Plymouth’s Department of Public Works (“DPW”) seeks to notify residents and visitors that, starting on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, paving contractor Rochester Bituminous will conduct milling, leveling, and paving work on Sandwich Street and Beaver Dam Road.

Barring inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances, work is expected to take place on weekdays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in accordance with the following schedule:
Sandwich Street, from Wellingsley Avenue to Warren Avenue

- Tuesday, July 27th – Final Paving of Roadway Surface
Beaver Dam Road, from Old Sandwich Road to Farnham Drive
- Thursday, July 29th through Friday, July 30th – Milling of Roadway Surface
- Monday, August 2nd through Tuesday, August 3rd – Application of Leveling Course
- Wednesday, August 4th through Thursday, August 5th – Raising of Castings
- Schedule of Final Paving Work – To Be Determined
The DPW will deploy message boards to alert motorists of the forthcoming work. During the scheduled work, the DPW and the contractor will make every effort to keep traffic flowing in both directions, but detours may be required. In such instances, the DPW will work with the contractor and the Plymouth Police Department’s detail officers on the placement of barrels and detour signage, to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible. The public is advised to drive with caution and plan for traffic delays and temporary access restrictions.
