Plymouth County Man Diagnosed with West Nile Virus
The first diagnosis of West Nile Virus this year in Massachusetts occurred in Plymouth County.

An elderly Plymouth County man's diagnosis of West Nile Virus this month was the first for the virus this year in Massachusetts.
The state Department of Public Health announced the case Monday but did not identify the man, who is recovering in the hospital, CBS Boston reported.
Earlier this month, an 85-year-old woman from Weymouth died of EEE.
Town officials also reported Monday that the Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus has been isolatedin a mosquito pool tested in Hingham. The town's threat level has been raised to moderate and testing will happen Tuesday morning.
