Plymouth Fire Welcomes New Emergency Management Director
A 20-year active member of the U.S. Coast Guard, Christian Horvath is no stranger when it comes to emergency management.

PLYMOUTH, MA — Plymouth Fire Department welcomes Christian Horvath as the town's new Emergency Management Director.
Horvath will coordinate all emergency management planning and activities for the departments that make up the Plymouth Emergency Management Team - Fire, Police, EMS, Public Health, Public Works, Buildings, Schools, and Recreation.
Following the retirement of Henry Lipe, Horvath started his new role on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

"We are pleased to have Chris join our Emergency Management Team as he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field," Plymouth Fire Chief G. Edward Bradley said. "During any emergency, it is critical that the Town has a person who can execute emergency plans while assisting residents with identifying resources."
Originally from Long Island, New York, Horvath has lived with his wife and four children in Plymouth for over 10 years.

Horvath served as an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard for 20 years, and also worked alongside federal and foreign agencies in the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean areas assisting with training and emergency management.
