Plymouth to Receive 'Healthy by Design' Award
The Town of Plymouth will be recognized by the Massachusetts Public Health Association at the State House on Oct. 9.

Plymouth is one of 11 communities to earn the "Healthy by Design" Award from the Massachusetts Public Health Association.
Town Manager Melissa Arrighi will accept the award on behalf of the town at a ceremony at the State House on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
“These 11 communities provide great examples of what can be accomplished when communities incorporate health into planning and community development,” said Maddie Ribble, Interim Executive Director with the Massachusetts Public Health Association. “These are the kinds of changes that will make it easier for residents to lead healthy lifestyles.”
In it's announcement of the award, the MPHA commended Plymouth for, "progress and partnerships to advance complete streets that promote walking and biking and for passage of a landmark complete streets policy."
