Threatening Note Found At Duxbury Elementary School

There will be an increased police presence Thursday morning in response to the threatening letter, the school says.

DUXBURY, MA — A threatening note that was supposedly written by a student was found at a Duxbury elementary school Wednesday afternoon, officials say.

The note was found at Alden School, which teaches grades 3 through 5, and the threat was not specific, Duxbury Superintendent Danielle Klingaman said.

In response, the school says there will be an increased police presence Thursday morning.

While school administrators are working to try to find who wrote the note, Klingaman said the Duxbury Police Department and school administration do not feel that there is an immediate threat to students or staff.

Klingaman said she wanted to share this information, "so that parents can make their own individual decision about sending their children to school."
