Woman Killed In Interstate 195 Crash: Police
Massachusetts State Police said a New Bedford woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 195 in Mattapoisett.
MATTAPOISETT, MA — A woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 195 in Mattapoisett Friday morning, authorities said. The woman was identified as a 44-year-old from New Bedford. Her name was not released.
The crash happened at about 8 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway, according to Massachusetts State Police. The woman was driving a 2006 Mazda 6 when, for an unknown reason, she veered off the road and struck a tree, police said.
The woman died at the scene, police said.
