Arrests
At 12:53 a.m. on Tuesday, Justin Nitzsche, 24 of 7 Abbot Road was arrested at for a suspended registration, operating a motor vehicle without liability insurance and a warrant.

Friday, Jan. 13
- At 3:26 p.m., a detective requested assistance at Walmart to assist with a shoplifter. The suspect was released and a trespass order was issued.
- At 3:42 p.m., an unknown caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

- At 7:03 p.m., an unknown caller reported hitting a deer on Chestnut Street.
Sunday, Jan. 15
- At 3:12 a.m., an unknown caller reported loud noise coming from an apartment on Main Street. Police spoke with the resident and the music was turned down.
- At 2:24 p.m., an unknown caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
- At 5:08 p.m., a Lowell Road resident reported that $400 was stolen from a piggy bank in her unlocked apartment.
- At 7:32 p.m., a Glenwood Road resident reported that his GPS was missing. It may have been taken from his unlocked vehicle.
Monday, Jan. 16
- At 1:55 p.m., a employee reported that a customer left without paying for gas. The party returned to pay for the gas about 45 minutes later.
- At 7:39 p.m., an unknown caller reported that his vehicle was hit while parked at . Damage was done to the front fender and bumper on the left side.
Tuesday, Jan. 17
- At 12:46 a.m., an unknown caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on Lowell Road.
- At 7:05 a.m., an unknown caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Park Street. A 28-year-old North Reading woman was summonsed for allowing a motor vehicle to be operated without liability insurance and speeding.
- At 9:27 a.m., a North Reading resident turned in an airsoft sidearm with holster. He reported that his 11-year-old daughter received it from a male friend. Police will destroy the item.
- At 9:37 a.m., a Park Street resident reported that someone hit his fence and drove away.
- At 1:14 p.m., a North Reading resident reported that her car was struck while parked on Lowell Road.
- At 1:14 p.m., a North Reading resident was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
